At the end of January 2008, the Management team of McCord Hospital welcomed a visit by Mark and Lisa Schwartz, Enid Schwartz, Priscilla Burton and Kate Carr, all of the United States. Lisa and Enid offered their expertise for a month to the Children's programmes at Sinikithemba, and to a school near Edendale Hospital and made a significant impact on many lives with their enthusiasm and compassion.
Mark, Lisa, Kate and Priscilla joined the McCord team for three days of intense work on the Capital Campaign, which resulted in an excellent plan of action being formulated, with criteria, plans, goals, to-do lists and many, many ideas being put together. Since then, regular conference calls with the core team have been instrumental in ensuring that plans are kept on track!
